EDUCATION: Zolder Museum UNIVERS(E)ity
From 28th August to 1st September 2013 The Zolder Museum organized after-summer school called The UNIVERS(E)ity. We welcomed 10 international artists, curators and art students with whom we worked for 5 days on 3 different locations: the Zolder Museum served as space for the drawing workshop by Isfrid Angard Siljehaug; The Garden House in Sloterdijk where UNIVERS(E)ity was hosted by the artist and gardener Gert Jan van Gennip served also as the location of Snejanka Mihaylova’s class. For the last three days the location was the Beauty Salon in Ferwert, Friesland where we were hosted by Louwrien Wijers and Egon Hanfstingl. It was the home to Rory Pilgrim’s class and the place where Louwrien Wijers, Egon Hanfstingl and Iva Supic Jankovic gave their presentations.
At this moment we are working on the UNIVERS(E)ity’s post production, which will result in a series of presentations and a publication.

ARTICLE: Going Somewhere-The Dispersed Role of the Contemporary Artist
Steven ten Thije (curator, Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven) wrote an article entitled Going Somewhere-The Dispersed Role of the Contemporary Artist for the blog of the Bielefelder Kunstverein “Museum Off Museum”. Ten Thije is writing about the artistic practice of artists who are using the museum as a model – The Zolder Museum is one of the examples he has given.

EXHIBITION: Fair, exhibition by Mitchell Thar, 30 NOVEMBER 2013, 7PM
Fair uses the space of the Zolder Museum as a site and context specific opportunity to examine presentation and representation as a pertinent framework. Official invitations will be sent out any day now.

THE FASHION OF CHRIST
(Celebration of Divine Presence in All)

THE FASHION OF CHRIST was created in 2013 as part of the Zolder Museum by Iva Supic Jankovic, the museum’s founder and director.
THE FASHION OF CHRIST embodies the heart of the Zolder Museum and especially its UNIVERS(E)ity’s program: to question, to teach and to learn from what is within ourselves. The fashion line is a way to take the Zolder Museum outside of the physical space. Fashion is to embody and become. It is a space where the human inhabits material and image with themselves and others in the world. The plan is to pursue with the fashion collection and make an online shop, which will help in economically sustaining The Zolder Museum project in the future.
